On Monday, the Modi government will be handing out awards to the contributors of the Clean India objective in urban areas. Today is not only marked as Gandhi Jayanti but also the third anniversary of launching Swachh Bharat Mission.
A Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry released a statement that the felicitation will be done with seven categories in mind. One of the awards will be given to Facebook citizen group from Delhi called ‘My Delhi Keep It Clean’ who will be awarded for promoting cleanliness in public places.
The ministry will award around 20 individuals and agencies for their separate roles in promoting Clean India objective.
Swacchata Award for marketing of compost made from municipal solid waste will be given to Fertiliser Cooperative KRIBHCO.
The Gurugram based Richmond Park will be given the award for excellent work in waste segregation at the source.
Roseland Housing Society from Pune will also be awarded for exceptional work towards waste segregation.
