Mumbai: Two young boys drowned in the sea off Juhu beach on Friday afternoon. This is third such incident in a month at the beach. The deceased have been identified as Rajesh Choudhary, 20 and Sameer Shaikh, 17. According to police officials, the two were swimming in the sea with the three other friends when they were pulled by a strong current.

The deceased friend Abnijeet Mandal, 18 said, “we were a group of five and had come here to swim, all of us are from Bhaiyawadi in Juhu Koliwada.” He added, three of them went far out to sea and were pulled under and one of them started screaming for help. I(Mandal) pulled him out but the other two were in too deep. They started screaming for help, but by the time a passer jumped in they had drowned.
The fire brigade team has launched a search to locate two missing boys.
