PM Modi Releases 9th Installment Of PM KISAN Scheme Benefiting 9.5 Crore Farmers Of India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released funds for the 9th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) scheme.

On the 9th of August, Monday, Mr. Narendra Modi released an amount of Rs. 19,500 crores, benefiting 9.75 crore farmers of India. Launched in 2018,the scheme provides financial assistance to the farmers of India. Under the scheme, the eligible farmers of India were given a financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year, divided into three installments (four monthly) of Rs. 2,000 each.

So far, close to Rs. 1.38 lakh crores has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of the eligible farmers. The last, 8th installment of the scheme was released on the 14th of May 2021.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) released a notification regarding the same, which read, “This will enable the transfer of an amount of more than ₹19,500 crore (195 million) to more than 9.75 crore (97.5 million) beneficiary farmer families. Prime Minister will interact with farmer beneficiaries during the event and will also address the nation.”

The 9th installment of the PM KISAN scheme was launched in the afternoon through video conferencing.

Here is how you can check your name on the PM-KISAN website

Step 1: Go to pmkisan.gov.in website.

Step 2: On the right hand side, click on the Farmers Corner

Step 3: Click on the Beneficiary Status

Step 4: Fill in the required details such as Aadhaar number, bank account and mobile number

After filling in all these details, you will be able to see your status and you will see your name if it is included in the list.
