Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, briefed about the Dalit Bandhu scheme of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government.
During a meeting with the TRS social media workers in Siddipet, the TRS Minister demanded the opinion of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.) In Siddipet TRS meeting, Mr. T. Harish Rao asked Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the BJP in Telangana to clear his stance regarding the Dalit Bandhu scheme.
Mr. Harish Rao said, “Sanjay Kumar should make it clear – is he in support of or against the Dalit Bandhu scheme, which would implemented in Huzurabad just like (the) Rythu Bandhu and (the) Kalyana Laxmi.”
The TRS senior leader asked whether the opposition BJP is against the growth and welfare of the Dalit community in Telangana and benefit the Scheduled Castes (SCs) in the State. Besides questioning the stand of the BJP regarding the Dalit Bandhu scheme, Mr. Harish Rao asked the cadres of the TRS work and bust all the myths, false propagandas and rumours being spread by the opposition.
He asked the TRS workers to work collectively against the false propaganda being spread specifically in social media platforms by the BJP.
The Huzurabad by election is going to be a tough fight between the TRS and the BJP, especially with the joining of Mr. Eatala Rajender, the former TRS member and the current BJP member.
It is to be noted, Mr. Eatala Rajender resigned as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Huzurabad constituency, following which the seat fell vacant.
The former TRS member would now contest against the TRS as a BJP MLA candidate in the upcoming Huzurabad Assembly by election. The Huzurabad by election is due and the Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to announce the dates for the election soon.
The notification regarding the same is expected anytime in the third week of August.
