Prince William and wife Kate arrive India on a seven-day tour

Mumbai: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have arrived in Mumbai as a start of a week tour of India and Bhutan. Britain’s Prince William and wife Kate have landed without their children. The royal couple will lay a wreath at a memorial to Mumbai’s 2008 terrorist attacks and visit the slum.

Prince William and wife Kate will be visiting Taj Mahal where once the Prince mother Princess Diana caused a sensation after she was photographed there in 1992.

 

Other highlights of their week-long trip include a visit to Kaziranga National Park in Assam state and a two-day spell in Bhutan, where they will meet the Himalayan nation’s king and queen and take on a six-hour hike.

Today the duo will attend a glittering reception and dinner alongside some of the biggest names in business and Bollywood, to celebrate Mumbai’s film and creative industries.
