The Sachin Pilot political team, on the 16th of July, during the Rajasthan Court hearing sought time to file a fresh petition against the disqualification.

On the morning of the 16th of July, C.P. Joshi, the Rajasthan Assembly speaker, issued a disqualification notice to Sachin Pilot and 18 other Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Indian National Congress (INC.)

In response, Prithviraj Meena, a supporter MLA of Sachin Pilot moved the Rajasthan High Court.

However, later Harish Salve, advocate representing Sachin Pilot and the rebel MLAs asked the Court to give time to amend the petition.

Mr. Salve said, the dissident MLAs want to challenge constitutional validity of disqualification notices issued by the Rajasthan Assembly Speaker. He said the petitioner will challenge anti-defection law enshrined in the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution.

In regard to this, the Rajasthan HC granted time to the Sachin Pilot political team to file fresh petition.

The Court also said the matter will be heard now by the Division Bench when the amended petition is filed.

Meanwhile, the INC decided to give a second chance to Sachin Pilot and asked him to come back to Jaipur and rejoin the Gandhi Family, the INC.
