India stormed into the 2026 Asian Games cricket final after beating Sri Lanka by 124 runs on Thursday. The win set up a final against Pakistan.
Batting first, India scored 169 for 7 in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan led the innings with an unbeaten 80 off 46 balls. His knock included four boundaries and five sixes.
Young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also made a quick 38 off 21 balls, helping India post a strong total.
India then produced a superb bowling display. Sri Lanka were bowled out for just 45 in 9.5 overs.
Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel took two wickets each. Abhishek Sharma also picked up two wickets, while Washington Sundar took one.
Sri Lanka struggled throughout the chase. Nuwanidu Fernando was their only batter to reach double figures, scoring 15 runs.
India will now face Pakistan in the Asian Games final, adding another major contest between the two teams.
