BRS Plans Hyderabad Protest, Seeks CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s Resignation

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will hold a protest outside the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer’s office in Hyderabad on October 10, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The party has raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. It claims that large numbers of voters were removed from constituencies represented by BRS MLAs. The allegations have not been established in the report.

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao has urged the Supreme Court to order an independent inquiry led by a sitting judge. He said every eligible Indian citizen must have the right to vote.

BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T. Harish Rao also called for accountability. He said the Election Commission must maintain public trust and ensure that eligible voters are not unfairly left out.

The party has demanded a detailed investigation into the voter list revision process. Its planned protest is part of its wider campaign seeking answers from the Election Commission over the alleged irregularities.
