Hyderabad: CP Radha Krishnan took additional charge as governor of Telangana state here on Wednesday. Chief justice of Telangana High Court, Justice Alok Aradhe administered the oath with Radha Krishnan.
Chief minister A Revanth Reddy, Chief secretary Shanta Kumari and other key officials attended the swearing in ceremony. Revanth felicitated the new governor and accorded a ceremonial reception.
Radha Krishnan who is presently working as governor of Jharkhand took additional charge as Telangana governor after Tamilisai Soundara Rajan resigned her position.
Radha Krishnan is a senior BJP leader from Tamil Nadu born on May 4, 1957. He played a key role in Tamil Nadu BJP and worked as a state unit president there. He won elections from Coimbatore parliament segment twice and worked as MP.
Krishnan worked as chairman of Indian Common Board (ICB) between 2016 to 2019. Radha Krishnan is delivering the duties of governor of Jharkhand from February 18 2023.
