US-based food delivery company DoorDash plans to create 3,000 jobs in India over the next two years by setting up a global technology hub in Hyderabad.
The new centre will support customer service and general administrative work. DoorDash plans to begin operations with 500 employees.
The Hyderabad facility will be the company’s second technology base in India. DoorDash already has a presence in Pune, where teams work on software, data and analytics.
The Hyderabad centre will also become DoorDash’s third global customer support centre. The company already operates support centres in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City.
The move comes as more global companies expand their operations in Hyderabad through global capability centres.
DoorDash’s expansion is expected to add more technology and support jobs in the city over the next two years.
