The Telangana government has allowed the registration of certain properties listed under the 22-A prohibited lands list, provided they have valid government permissions.
The move covers eligible open plots, houses and flats with approvals from bodies such as GHMC, HMDA, DTCP and municipalities.
Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the Revenue Department has issued orders to facilitate such registrations.
Applicants will need to submit relevant link documents for transactions made after obtaining the required permissions.
However, not all 22-A properties will qualify. Officials will check land records, permissions and other legal issues before allowing registration.
District-level committees headed by Collectors will examine the cases. The committees will include officials from the Registration Department and local planning bodies.
The decision follows Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s Assembly assurance on September 16 to address 22-A-related issues through a faster process.
