On Monday, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Nampally, Hyderabad High Court, granted eight days custody to gangster Mohammed Ayub Khan. He has been registered under the case for obtaining a fake passport. A Special Investigation Team has been formed to look into the details of how he obtained it and will interrogate him about the same.

After arresting Ayub Khan in December 2016, the south zone police requested the court for ten days of probation. The court has given permission for eight days, one day at Chandrayangutta police station in connection to a threatening case and the rest of the seven days for Kamatipura police in regard to the fake passport case.
The Special Investigation team comprisesof eleven members and is headed by the Charminar Assistant Commissioner of Police K. Ashok Chakravarthy. The ACP will be supervising the investigation and the team will report to deputy commissioner of police V. Satyanarayana.
