GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has won the National Energy Leader Award for the eighth consecutive year at the CII National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2026.
GHIAL also received the Excellent Energy Efficient Unit recognition for the 10th consecutive year. The awards highlight efforts in energy efficiency, energy management and sustainable practices.
The 27th edition of the CII awards saw participation from more than 700 companies across India.
Kadhir Kadhiravan, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd, said sustainability is an important part of the airport’s operations. He said the focus on energy efficiency aims to support responsible growth while maintaining a good passenger experience.
The CII National Awards recognise organisations that show progress and innovation in improving energy performance.
The latest awards add to Hyderabad airport’s record of recognition for its work in energy conservation and efficiency.
