KTR Slams Congress Over FIR Against BRS Leader Krishank

BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has criticised the Congress government over an FIR filed against party spokesperson Manne Krishank in Hyderabad.

KTR alleged that the Congress government was using police cases to silence questions about alleged corruption and unfulfilled election promises. He said the BRS would continue to raise such issues.

Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police registered the case on October 5 following a complaint by Congress leader Mettu Sai Kumar. Krishank, MR Media Telangana and others were named as accused under Sections 353(2) and 352 of the BNS.

The complaint is linked to remarks and published material questioning alleged corruption involving Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s family.

Krishank said the Chief Minister and his family should answer the questions raised at a press conference instead of filing cases. He described the FIR as a new low in Telangana.

KTR also posted a sharp response on X, saying the BRS would continue to question the Congress government.
