On the 1st of October, the Returning Officer of Huzurnagar Assembly constituency, said a total of 119 nominations were filed for the bypoll in Huzurnagar, Telangana.
The Election Commission officials said 76 candidates filed 119 nominations for the bypoll till the 1st of October.
On the 30th of September, which was the last date for filing nominations, approximately 67 candidates filed 106 nominations. The nominations included independent candidates and members of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Indian National Congress (INC,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
Sachindra Pratap Singh, the Election Officer of Huzurnagar and Amay Kumar, the Collector of Huzurnagar, received the nominations. The officers will scrutinise the election nominations on the 1st of October and the last date for withdrawing the nominations is the 3rd of October.
S. Saidi Reddy is representing the TRS, N. Padmavathi Reddy is the INC candidate, Chava Kiranmai is the TDP candidate and the BJP nominated Kota Rama Rao. All the major parties’ candidates filed their nominations on the 30th of September.
The Huzurnagar bypoll is scheduled to be held on the 21st of October and the results will be announced on the 24th of October.
