K.T. Rama Rao, the Information and Technology (IT,) Electronics and Communications, Minister of Telangana, on the 21st of September, criticised the Central Government.
According to sources, Mr. Rao opposed the three farm bills and pending GST funds to states.
KTR lashed out at the Telangana President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for their lies regarding the GST fund.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Telangana BJP President said the Central Government released a sum of Rs. 7,000 crores to fight the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
According to sources, the Union Government released Rs. 33.40 crores in 2019-2020 and Rs. 256.89 crores in 2020-2021 to Telangana for management and containment of the pandemic.
Mr. Rao said there is a difference in amount of Rs. 6,710 crores. He said State Minister Eatala Rajender had pointed out on more than one occasion.
KTR took to Twitter and said, “TS BJP MPs claim that Government of India released a staggering Rs. 7,000 crore to Telangana in the fight against Covid-19. The NDA govt in response to a question answered that all they had released to Telangana was Rs. 290 crore. What an absolute shameful distortion and misleading propaganda.”
He further added, “When the Telangana legislature passed the farmer friendly revenue bill last week, there was widespread jubilation and cheer among the farming community across the State. If the agriculture bills 2020, is truly a watershed moment, why is no farmer celebrating and why are the NDA allies resigning?”
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) also directed their Members of Parliament (MPs) to raise the issue and ask for the GST fund.
The Parliament Monsoon session is scheduled to end on the 23rd of September.
