Kapil Dev, the former Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, met K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister and the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana.
The meeting was held on the 25th of November at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) office in Hyderabad.
According to sources, the meeting was said to be related to the Golf Club’s promotional activities in the City. However, an official announcement regarding the reason is yet to be announced.
After meeting Kapil Dev, K.T. Rama Rao also met GHMC officials and conducted a review meeting about GHMC projects and other matters.
During the meeting, which is underway, KTR is expected to discuss GHMC projects like Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) works, including junction improvement, foot over bridges, skywalks, right to walk (footpaths,) traffic lights and bus shelters.
Besides, the officials are likely to discuss a Town Planning wing and a proposal regarding new roads/issue of notification, road widening and land acquisition issues, disposal of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applications and Development Permission Management System (DPMS) issues.
The other major topics which would be discussed at the meeting are the Green Action Plan, landscaping, central median, parks and traffic islands.
The officials would also talk about health and sanitation, dump yards and other issues.
