On the 22nd of April, Friday, the unemployed youths with B.ED qualifications urged the Telangana Education Department to extend the registration date, as many candidates are yet to apply for the TSTET 2022.
It is to be noted that the registration for the TS TET 2022 was started on the 26th of March and the last date to apply was the 12th of April. Furthermore, the exam has been scheduled for the 12 of June.
Mr. Bairu Nagaraju Goud, the President of the Osmania University JAC said, “The date should be extended keeping in view the future of candidates belonging to weaker sections.” He further said if the State Government would not extend the registration date, they would launch an agitation against the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government.
Addressing the media, Mr. Bairu Nagaraju Goud said, “The government should understand the plight of such candidates and provide the edit option in the applications. The date extension should be given for the benefit of those who could not apply.”
It is to be noted that the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (JAC) already submitted a representation, including the demands of the candidates to the concerned officials in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Education Department is yet to respond to the demands of the Osmania University JAC and lakhs of candidates for the TS TET.
