Hyderabad: Railway projects and new bridges will help progress the development of the country, said governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. She participated in a foundation ceremony of Amrit Bharat Railway stations here on Monday at Begumpet Railway station and said that Prime Minister Modi had focused on improving amenities at Railway stations in the name of Amrit Bharat scheme.
She added that Begumpet airport’s design resembled an international airport. ‘One product-One Railway station’ scheme to promote local products is a great initiative. Such schemes help local artisans popularize their handicrafts,” Tamilisai opined.
Altogether 15 railway stations in Telangana got a nod to get a facelift under Amrit Bharat scheme. Center had allocated Rs. 230 crores for the development of these stations.
Deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, BJP leader Lakshman and others attended the program.
