Singareni Jobs: Telangana Sets 15-Day Deadline For Pending Cases

The Telangana government has set a 15-day deadline to clear around 250 to 300 pending dependent employment cases in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka directed officials to complete the process and issue appointment orders to eligible applicants.

The cases involve dependants of Singareni workers who have been waiting for employment on compassionate grounds. The move is aimed at clearing long-pending cases and providing relief to eligible families.

Bhatti also asked officials to take a humane approach to around 136 pending cases related to changes in the names of dependants. Officials were told to consider the recommendations of the Singareni Officers’ Committee while taking decisions.

He also directed Singareni to hold monthly medical board meetings at area hospitals. This will help workers complete medical tests locally and speed up medical invalidation cases.

The government also discussed measures for workers who lost their jobs after failing to attend duty during the Covid-19 period or due to local issues.
