Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister of Telangana, held a meeting, held a meeting regarding the recent attack on four year old boy by stray dogs.

On the 23rd  of February, Friday, Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the Telangana Government would give equal priority to the safety of the people as well as the preservation of life in the city.  

The meeting was attended by the officials of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) Veterinary, Health and other departments at his office in Masab Tank.  The officials also discussed measures to be taken to prevent the menace of stray dogs and monkeys in the city. 

Home Minister Mahmood Ali, Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Mayor Mothe Sri Latha Reddy officials participated in this meeting.  

Later, Minister Talasani spoke to the media and stated that necessary measures would be taken to eliminate the problems people are facing due to stray dogs.  Expressing sadness to the recent attack of the stray dogs on a four year boy, who died, Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that it is sad that a four-year-old boy died after being injured in a dog attack in Amberpet recently.  He said that a month-long special drive has been ordered to sterilize dogs in the city.  He further said that special attention should be given to slums and colonies. 

Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav also directed the officials to identify the areas where there are many dogs and move them to the care centers set up under Hyderabad Municipal Development Administration (HMDA) and provide them with food and drinking water.
