K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Telangana Chief Minister of Telangana, visited Vasalamarri in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on the 22nd of June.
During the district tour, part of his districts CM KCR had lunch with the villagers of Vasalamarri. Then he went to the women who were having lunch and aske about their well-being and also asked how the meals were. Meals were arranged for 3,000 people in the village at once. CM KCR performed special pujas at Kodanda Ramalayam in Vasalamarri.
As many as 23 varieties of dishes were served to the villagers including non vegetarian and vegetarian, fruits and etc. The Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district administration has been engaged for three days in making arrangements as per the instructions given by CM KCR himself to the Vasalamarri village sarpanch Anjaneyulu over the phone. The review was conducted to ensure that the Gram Sabha was fully operational for success. In order to avoid trouble in the gram sabha, orders were issued that they should not come from other villages. Meanwhile, the chief minister is likely to announce various development schemes in the village after lunch.
CM KCR clarified that people of Vasalamarri are his entire family members from today. The CM addressed a gathering organized there as part of his visit to Vasalamarri village. He said there was a need to develop the village beyond castes and politics and opined that all the villagers should pledge for the development of Vasalamarri. “If there is a problem, if everyone fights together, the problems will go away; village needs have to be met through the resources available here,” KCR said. He said if all the villagers work for 2 hours, development will be possible without fail.
The chief minister said let’s build a magnificent community hall for Vasalamarri, repair the road and assured of providing funds. He said that development is possible only if everyone is united. He said he would go to three dalit colonies in the village and talk to them and resolve their problems. CM KCR said, “Everyone should take advantage of government schemes and the people should come forward to explain the schemes to the people; in the days to come, a village fund will be set up and those who have problems could make use f the funds, ” KCR said. The chief minister said that there is need for setting up a village development committee first, village labour committee, sanitation and drinking water committee, green committee and agricultural committee should be set up.
With this, the Telangana Chief Minister KCR adopted Vasalmarri village for showcasing development and progress.
