On the night of the 19th of August, the Telangana Medical department released a media bulletin regarding the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
According to the Telangana Health Department’s bulletin, after reporting cases below 1,000 for two days, Telangana reports new cases crossed 1,700.
The Telangana Health Department confirmed 1,724 new cases of COVID-19 with 8 fatalities and 1,195 recoveries.
Of the total 1,724 new cases, 17 were from Adilabad, 27 from Bhadradri, 395 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation ( GHMC.)
Other places include 35 from Jagtiyal, 13 from Jangaon, seven from Bhupalapally, 37 from Gadwal, 32 from Kamareddy, 101 from Karimnagar, 42 from Khammam, seven from Komarambheem Asifabad, 32 from Mahabubnagar, 28 from Mahabubabad, 45 from Mancherial, 34 from Medak, 105 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 11 Mulugu, 22 from Nagarkurnool, 67 from Nalgonda, nine from Narayanpet, 23 from Nirmal, 61 from Nizamabad, 43 from Peddapally, 37 from Siricilla, 169 from Rangareddy, 45 from Sangareddy, 61 from Siddipet, 44 from Suryapet, 14 from Vikarabad, 28 from Wanaparthy, 32 from Warangal Rural, 91 from Warangal Urban and 10 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
With these updates, Telangana has 97,424 positive cases, of which 21,509 are active cases, 75,186 are recovered/discharged cases and 729 deceased.
Out of the 21,509 patients, 15,076patients are under home isolation and 6,433 are in institutional care.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authorities conducted 23,841 tests till the night of the 18th of August. Of the total tests, COVID-19 results of 968 samples are pending.
So far 8,21,311 samples have been tested for the Novel Coronavirus infection in Telangana.
With the everyday spike in the Novel Coronavirus cases, the recovery rate in Telangana is now 77.17 % from the previous 77.31%.
In addition, mortality rate is 0.74 % from the previous 0.75%.
The growth rate of the COVID-19 infection is 1.91% from the previous 1.92%.
