The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government transferred a few Municipal Corporation commissioners in the State.
Ms. Swarupa Rani, who was the Municipal Commissioner of Mancherial was transferred to Jagitial. The Nirmal Municipal Commissioner Mr. Rasamayi Balakrishna has been transferred to Mancherial
In addition, another commissioner Ms. Prasanna Rani has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Mahabubabad and Mr. Sarath Chandra as the Municipal Commissioner of Vikarabad.
On the other hand, the Municipal Commissioners who have so far served in Mahabubabad and Vikarabad municipal corporations have been directed to report to the Municipal Directorate of Telangana. Their posting is yet to be announced. Previously, Mr. T. Narendra Reddy and Mr. D. Satyanarayan Reddy were municipal commissioners of Mahabubabad and Vikarabad, respectively.
The shuffling in the Municipal Corporation commissioners post was a sudden move as per The direction of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
Meanwhile, an official notice of the transfer was issued by the Telangana Municipal Administration (MA) Department on the 6th of August.
