In a tragic road accident, one died and eleven people were badly injured.
On the 6th of October, a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus fell into a gorge in Manthani area of Peddapalli district, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to passengers.
The deceased was Thati Vineeth, a 22 year old driver of the TSRTC bus, which had an accident today morning. The incident happened during morning hours of Wednesday, when the TSRTC bus was on its way to Hanamkonda from Bellampalli, when it rammed into a car and fell into the valley.
Although the details and reason is yet to be known, an eye witness said that the car which collided with the bus was coming from a wrong direction, following which the driver lost his control and the bus rammed into the car.
Meanwhile, police who rushed to the spot registered a case and launched an investigation. The police said, “The injured persons were immediately shifted to the local government hospital but as the condition of two persons was critical, we shifted them to Karimnagar district hospital for better treatment.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Puvvadda Ajay, the Telangana Road and Transport Minister, directed the TSRTC Managers of Karimnagar and Warangal districts to reach the spot and oversee the situation.
In addition, the Telangana police also launched an investigation in the matter and details are awaited.
