On the night of the 17th of September, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin, briefing about the Novel Coronavirus situation in the State.
According to the released media bulletin, Telangana recorded 2,043 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Of the total new Coronavirus cases, 19 were from Adilabad, 49 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 314 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC,) 42 from Jagtial, 25 from Jangaon, 23 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 17 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 31 from Kamareddy, 114 from Karimnagar, 84 from Khammam, 20 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 26 from Mahabubnagar, 74 from Mahabubabad, 25 from Mancherial, 25 from Medak, 144 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 16 from Mulugu, 32 from Nagarkurnool, 131 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 16 from Nirmal, 65 from Nizamabad, 48 from Peddapalli, 46 from Rajanna Sircilla, 174 from Rangareddy, 71 from Sangareddy, 121 from Siddipet, 51 from Suryapet, 20 from Vikarabad, 22 from Wanaparthy, 33 from Warangal Rural, 108 from Warangal Urban and 45 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
Apart from the 2,043 infections, the State reported 11 fatalities and 1,802 recoveries
With these updates, till the 18th of September, Telangana has 1,67,046 positive cases, 30,673 active cases, 1,35,357 recovered/discharged cases and 1,016 deceased.
Of the total 30,673 active cases, 24,081 patients were under home isolation and 6,592 positive cases are in institutional care in Telangana.
In addition, the recovery rate from the COVID-19 infection in Telangana stood at 81.02 % and mortality rate at 0.60 %.
The average rate of COVID-19 infection growth is 1.40 % and active cases ratio is 18.40 %.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authority in the past 24 hours conducted 50,634 COVID-19 tests, of which results of 1,039 samples are awaited.
Overall till the 18th of September, 23,79,950 COVID-19 tests have been done.
The population of Telangana as per 2019 data is 3,72,20,000.
