Ms. Y.S. Sharmila, the President of the YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) resumed her Praja Prasthanam Padayatra, from the 11th of March, Friday. As per sources, the Praja Prasthanam Padayatra would start from Kondapaka Gudem village in Nalgonda.
According to sources, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila chose to begin her padayatra from Kondapaka, as he halted the rally there, amid the Telangana Municipal elections.
On the 10th of November 2021, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila halted her Praja Prasthanam padayatra, in the view of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) in Telangana for the Members of the Legislative Council (MLC) elections.
It is to be noted, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila launched a padyatra against the misrule of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.) Titled as ‘Praja Prasthanam’ the padayatra was launched on the 20th of October, by Ms. Y.S. Vijayamma, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila’s mother. During the padayatra, the YSRTP would raise voice against the TRS Government and Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.
During this Praja Prasthanam padayatra, Ms. Y.S.Sharmila would walk 4,000 km covering 16 of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies and all Assembly constituencies. However, she would not cover Assembly constituencies under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits. Everyday, Ms. Sharmila would begin her padyatra at 8:30 A.M., and would take a break between 12:30 P.M., to 3:00 P.M. She would conclude her padyatra at 6:00 P.M., everyday and would cover an average of 13-15 km. The Praja Prasthanam padayatra is expected to continue for a span of 14 months, which is likely to be till December 2022.
Meanwhile, highlighting today’s schedule, Ms. Sharmila would reach Kondapaka Gudem village at 3:30 P.M., from Lotus Pond in Hyderabad. Later in the day, Ms. Sharmila would interact with the locals of the village in Nalgonda about the problems they are facing. She would also visit Chinna Narayanapuram at 4:15 P.M., and Narkatpalli at 5:00 P.M. At Narketpally, Ms. Y.S. Sharmila would address a public rally.
After addressing the public meeting, Ms. Sharmila would take her padayatra to Mada Edavalli at 6:15 P.M., and Pothineni Palli village around 6:45 P.M. She would discuss problems of the Telangana people in the village.
