On the 25th of October, Monday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is celebrating 20 years of its formation.
To celebrate the event, the Pink Party has organised an event to mark the 20th anniversary of the TRS. The 20th anniversary event is scheduled to be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC.)
In addition, the TRS plenary meeting for election of the TRS President post is also being held today. Approximately 14,000 representatives of the Party elected Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao as its President. The TRS conducts the election every once in two years. According to the TRS leaders, the elections now are being held more like a formality, following the rules and laws formulated during the formation of the TRS. For the 2021 Presidential post, no other candidate except Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao has filed nomination, therefore KCR would be the TRS President for the 10th term, unopposed.
On this occasion, after being reelected as the TRS President, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and the President of the TRS is going to address a Party meeting and deliver a speech. This time, the plenary meeting has been organised at Huzurabad Assembly constituency.
During the address to the Party leaders, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao would talk about the achievements and welfare activities of the TRS. The contribution of the Pink Party and its seven years of governance. He would highlight the success of the Party since its formation in 2021 and the TRS ruling as the State Government since 2014 till date.
The event, organised at Huzurabad Assembly constituency witnessed 6,000 guests, being invited across the State. The Party leaders and cadre have painted the entire city with the party’s colour pink by setting up hoardings, flexies and flags along all major roads and junctions, which display a beaming Chandrashekar Rao and his son and a TRS Minister Mr. K.T. Rama Rao along with local leaders of respective constituencies.
The event is a huge matter for the TRS, especially at a time when the party is going to contest the most important Huzurabad Assembly by election on the 30th of October.
The Plenary meeting, which started at 10:00 A.M., and is underway is getting the media attention and people’s attention, and is going to be a huge success for the TRS in future.
