The eligible families selected as beneficiaries from 119 Assembly constituencies would receive the money to make them financially stable and self sufficient. In total, approximately 11,900 Dalit families would receive Rs. 10 lakhs each.

According to the Telangana Chief Minister’s office (CMO) the financial assistance would be released in a phased manner. In the first phase, the assistance would be given to 100 families selected from each of the 119 Assembly Constituencies.

The pilot project would be kickstarted from the Huzurabad area of Karimnagar district.

Meanwhile, giving an answer to the opposition, who are criticising the TRS Government for selecting Huzurabad, the CMO said, the reason to select Huzurabad of the erstwhile Karimnagar is history and tradition.
