Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Finance and Health Minister of Telangana, participated in the National Deworming Day organised by Narsingi Social Welfare Gurukul School in Narsingi.
During the visit, Mr. T. Harish Rao inspected the classes along with the officials. Notably, Gurukul Secretary Ronald Ross briefed Mr. T. Harish Rao about the social welfare of Gurukuls and the achievements of the students.
Furthermore, Mr. T. Harish Rao said that the parents should be fully aware of deworming so that their children grow up healthy. He added that children, especially those aged between 1 year to 19 years of age are most affected by worms, as they would follow the starving process, eating less food to lose weight. Mr. T. Harish Rao also said, there is also a risk of loss of life due to starvation.
During the tour, the Health and Finance Minister said that we aim to give tablets to 98,97,600 children across Telangana.
Public Health Clinic (PHCs) doctors should visit the respective ranges in all Gurukul’s.
It is to be noted, in Telangana, earlier there were 298 Gurukuls, which has now increased to 923 Gurukuls, under the leadership of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government.
Mr. T. Harish Rao also said, Telangana Government is the first in India, which is set to establish a Gurukula Law College in Mahabubnagar and Sangareddy.
Mr. T. Harish Rao was accompanied by Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Prakash Goud, TRS leaders like Mr. Ala Venkateshwar Reddy, Mr. Banda Prakash, Local Councillor Mr. Praveen, Municipal Chairman, Vice Chairman Mr. Venkatesh Yadav and other district officials.
