The Union Home Ministry formed a high power committee, which would be visiting Telangana to ascertain the flood damage in the state and submit a report to the Centre.
Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met with the Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah along with State in-charge Mr. Tarun Chugh in New Delhi, on the 20th of July. Notably, the visit is scheduled after the Union Ministry was informed about the devastating situation, amid floods in Telangana.
The BJP leaders brought to notice of the Union Minister the devastation caused by floods in the Godavari recently and also the inconvenience it caused to people.
Responding to this, Mr. Amit Shah directed officials to send a high-power committee with senior officials to the State.
The team would visit to Telangana, analyse the situation and give a report to the Union Home Ministry soon.
Mr. Tarun Chugh said, “Thank you, Amit Shah ji, for patiently hearing us on the damage caused to fields, houses, people and projects and expressing your deep concern about the destruction by nature. Immense gratitude for understanding our concerns and immediately responding.”
Furthermore, the Telangana Weather Department predicted heavy to moderate rainfall for the next four days, till the 23rd of July.
