Bengaluru: In a superstition incident, a couple hailing from Karnataka’s Bidar district partially buried their 9-month-old child in a mount of dirt during the solar eclipse which occurred last week.
According to the reports, the parents of the physically challenged child were hopping to cure the ailment and left him half buried in compost for nearly three hours under the sun.

Talking on this incident, Ashok Kenny, MLA of Bidar district said, “In Bidar, 86% of the people are below poverty level. We can correct the superstition through education. Even the educated people are superstitious…I consider our generation as a lost generation when it comes to superstition. Let’s do something about the next generation. Let’s us educate them and bring them up to date with the 21st century.”
