Chennai: With over a year left for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, major political parties are already strategizing. In a significant development, actor Vijay’s newly formed Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam (TVK) held discussions with renowned election strategist Prashant Kishor (PK), sparking political debate. Reports suggest that PK might serve as a special advisor for TVK in the upcoming elections.
According to sources, Prashant Kishor has estimated that TVK could secure a vote share of 15-20%, with plans to further strengthen its presence. Reacting to this, DMK leader and minister Shekhara Babu remarked that all parties claim they will win 100% votes, but the people of Tamil Nadu are inclined to re-elect Chief Minister MK Stalin.
Meanwhile, DMK leader Kanimozhi stated that PK’s involvement with TVK does not concern her party. CPM leader Balakrishnan opined that film glamour alone is not enough for political success, and pointed out PK’s failure in the Bihar by-elections.
NTK chief Seeman dismissed PK’s strategies, while DMDK leader Premalatha Vijayakanth suggested that TVK’s growth depends on Vijay’s leadership. Reports indicate that PK’s discussions with TVK also included potential alliances in Tamil Nadu politics.
