On the 6th of January, Thursday, the Andhra Pradesh Employees Unions, met with Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
According to sources, the A.P., Employees Unions discussed the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) issues, and other issues. The meeting was held in the afternoon at Tadepalli office of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Leaders of 13 unions of the Joint Staff Council attended the meeting. It is to be noted, the union have already given notice to the YSRCP Government and tendered 71 demands. The A.P., Joint Action Committee (APJAC) leader Mr. Boppraju Venkateswarlu and Mr. Bandi Srinivasa Rao of APJAC-Amaravati, said that they had given ample time to the Government. However, the officials were delaying resolution under the guise of consultations. Even the most important demands were not met.
Despite rounds of meetings with the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, no solution was found, following which the union leaders met with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. During the meeting with Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the employee unions mainly focussed on PRC abolition of CPS, regularisation of contract employees, making the services of the village and ward secretariat employees permanent.
The employees also demanded the government to give them a 55 % fitment, against the 14.29% fitment, recommended by the CS Committee.
The final decision regarding the PSR would be taken by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister later today.
