CID Raid At TDP Leader P Narayana’s Residence, Issues Summon Notice

After the Crime Investigation Department (CID) issued a notice to P. Narayana, a former Minister of Andhra Pradesh, the CID officials raided his house.

On the 17th of March, the CID officials visited Mr. Narayana’s house in Hyderabad and handed the summon notice in the Amaravati land scam to his wife. Besides that the CID conducted a search at his Nellore residence. His Nellore residence has been cordoned off and the search is still underway.

In addition, the CID also filed a first information report (FIR,) against Mr. P. Narayana. The FIR was filed under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for irregularities in Amaravati Capital land. The case has been registered under the Prevention of sale of Assigned Lands Act, 1977, SC, ST Atrocities Act, including Sections 120B, 166,167 and 217 of the IPC.

The summon notice to Mr. Narayana came a day after the CID issued a notice to Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP.

Since, the scam or land irregularities occurred during the TDP reign, the concerned minister and former A.P., Chief Minister was held responsible.

However, the TDP claimed the notice to be a strategy of the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and questioned the authenticity of the letter.

While Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been asked to appear before the CID on the 23rd of March, Mr. Narayana was asked to appear on the 22nd of March.
