In breaking news, two wagons of an LPG rake derailed in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district near the Bharat Petroleum Depot.
The incident occurred late night of the 6th of June, Tuesday, when the goods train was being placed for unloading inside the railway factory. Getting into the details, railway officials reached the derailment site late last night to oversee the restoration work, averting a major tragedy.
Meanwhile, several media houses reported that a senior railway official confirmed that no main line movement was affected due to the derailment incident and restoration work has started in the presence of appropriate authorities.
The West Central Railway official said, “Two wagons of LPG rake of a goods train derailed while being placed for unloading last night. No main line movement of trains affected. Train movement is normal in main line. Restoration work started after sunrise in the presence of siding authorities. Fitness certificate issued by Siding Owner.”
Meanwhile, this is the second such derailment incident reported in the past 48 hours. After the tragic Odisha-Balasore Triple Train accident, this is the third incident of railway derailment. Earlier, after Balasore incident, a goods train derailed in the region of Assam.
