Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) launched a new scheme for women in the Telugu State.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government launched YSR Economically Backward Castes (EBC) Nestham Scheme. The State CM released Rs. 589 crore for the scheme from the YSRCP Camp Office in Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh. The released money has been deposited in the bank accounts of women beneficiaries in Andhra Pradesh. On Tuesday, the YSRCP President, released the first installment of Rs. 589 crores under the scheme for Economically Weak Section (EWS) and Other Backward Class (OBC) class women.
During the launch event, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “Under this scheme, Rs. 589 crore financial assistance is being credited to their accounts.”
According to the Andhra Pradesh Government, a total of 3,92,674 women across the State would get benefits from the scheme.
According to sources, the scheme started in 2019, when the YSRCP Government came into power. Under the scheme, the Y.S. Jahan Mohan Reddy led Government extended financial help to eligible women in the State.
