The Telangana Government confirmed the improved situation of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the State.
In the past 24 hours, the State reported less than 1,000 cases of the Wuhan virus. This is the first time that the State reported below 1,000 cases since the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic hit Telangana.
On the 27th of June, Telangana recorded 748 new cases, 8 deaths and 1,492 recovered/discharged cases of the Novel Coronavirus. The updated figures were confirmed by the Telangana Health Department l, through a bulletin released to the media.
The State Health Department releases the bulletin everyday at 8:00 P.M.
According to the health bulletin released on the 27th of June, Telangana has 6,20,613 positive cases, of which 14,302 are active cases, 6,02,676 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,635 are deceased cases.
In Telangana, the regions of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the highest number of cases with 121 cases followed by Rangareddy (46.)
In addition, according to the bulletin, the Telangana Medical Department conducted 81,407 sample tests for COVID-19, taking the total to 1.83 crores till the 28th of June.
With this, Telangana has a 97.10% recovery rate from COVID-19 with a 0.58 % fatality rate of the Wuhan virus.
Meanwhile, compared to the previous 99 containment zones, there are 88 active containment zones in Telangana. Of these, the highest number of containment zones are in Mahabubabad and Hyderabad followed by 23 in Bhadradri Kothagudem district and 19 in other regions of the State.
