The Wuhan virus cases, also known as the Novel Coronavirus, reported a slight surge of cases for the third day in Telangana. After reporting below 200 cases in the past, the State reported cases numbering above 200.

On Wednesday, the 29th of September, Telangana reported 245 new cases with one death and only 173 recoveries. Compared to the previous day’s recoveries (255,) the number fell down by 82.

In addition, of the new cases, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region with 73 new cases. Of all the districts, the GHMC limit showed no improvement and reports more than 50 cases regularly.

The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department. On the evening of the 29th of September, the department released a media bulletin and updated information about the COVID-19 situation in the State.

With this, Telangana now has 6,65,749 positive cases, of which 4,549 are active cases, 6,57,213 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,916 are deceased. The recovery rate of Telangana fell to 98.72% from the previous 98.73% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past two and half months at 0.58 %.
