Srinagar: In an encounter at Narsu nullah on the national highway of Jammu-Srinagar in Udhampur district, a terrorist was killed and eight jawans were also injured. The encounter took place with the Border Security Force on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, eight jawans were injured in a grenade attack and firing by the militants on a BSF convoy. The attack on the convoy came nine days after the attack on Dinanagar police station in Punjab. As soon as the police received information, the reinforcements were rushed to the spot. The pilgrims, who were on their way to Amarnath yatra, from Jammu were immediately halted due to terror strike. However, more details are awaited.
