Amaravati: Deputy Chief Minister and Forest & Environment Minister Pawan Kalyan emphasized the need for compassion toward all living beings, asserting that animals, trees, and livestock share the earth and have equal rights to live. He announced strict measures against poaching and wildlife smuggling, warning of severe penalties for offenders.
At the Janasena Party’s central office in Mangalagiri on Monday, Pawan Kalyan unveiled the new anti-poaching cell poster, aimed at strengthening wildlife conservation efforts. “This government is committed to accountability. In recent cases, suspects involved in the killing of a leopard in Kaundinya Sanctuary and a rare animal in Palnadu district were apprehended within days,” he stated, highlighting the administration’s swift response to wildlife crimes.
Pawan Kalyan urged the public to report any poaching or smuggling activities to forest officials, directing citizens to use the dedicated toll-free number, 18004255909, to ensure prompt action. Special Chief Secretary of the Forest Department, Anantaramu, along with PCCF Chiranjeevi Chaudhary and other senior officials, attended the event, underscoring the administration’s collective commitment to wildlife protection.
