Hyderabad: Telangana has set a new benchmark at the World Economic Forum in Davos by securing investment commitments worth ₹56,300 crore in a single day. These investments are expected to generate approximately 10,800 job opportunities, boosting the state’s economy and employment prospects.

Sun Petrochemicals, a prominent energy sector company, has committed ₹45,500 crore to develop large-scale pumped storage and solar power projects in Telangana. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The projects will be located in Nagarkurnool, Mancherial, and Mulugu districts, with a total pumped storage capacity of 3,400 MW and an additional 5,440 MW of solar power generation. These projects are expected to create around 7,000 jobs during construction.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the state’s commitment to green energy, stating, “We aim to make Telangana a leader in clean energy production, ensuring sustainable energy resources for the future.” Industry Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu expressed satisfaction with the achievement, calling it a milestone in Telangana’s industrial growth.

Additionally, Control S Data Centers Limited announced an investment of ₹10,000 crore to establish a 400 MW Artificial Intelligence (AI) data center cluster. This project is expected to create 3,600 direct and indirect jobs and enhance the state’s digital infrastructure.
