
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to draft a new policy aimed at advancing tourism in the state, with a special focus on eco-tourism, temple tourism, and health tourism. In a recent review meeting held at the Secretariat, CM Reddy emphasized the need for comprehensive plans to foster tourism growth and enhance the state’s appeal to visitors.
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of developing tourism projects with speed and efficiency. He directed authorities to prioritize the establishment of a new zoo outside Hyderabad and improve existing tourism infrastructure.
Particular attention was given to the development of Yadagirigutta, where CM Reddy has proposed the formation of the Yadagirigutta Temple Board modeled after the Tithide Board. He called for a detailed report on pending development works at the temple and outlined the steps needed to address future requirements. The Chief Minister stressed the urgency of completing the gold plating work for the Raja Gopuram and insisted that temple development projects should be carried out without interruption.
CM Reddy also demanded a comprehensive report on the activities of the Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (VTDA). The meeting, which included Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Ramesh Reddy, aimed to align government efforts with the strategic goals for tourism development in Telangana.
