Firing at Las Vegas Causes Terror Attack Scare

Gunfire in Las Vegas’ Bellagio casino caused a terror attack scare which sent the guests running for the exit. The firing is expected to be a possible burglary and sent the guests fleeing in the wee hours of Saturday morning. The Metro police had said that there was ‘no active shooter’ and there were no injuries or casualties.

The Bellagio casino’s security department told The Independent that “everyone’s fine”.

A few media houses of the City reported armed men in pig masks stormed the Bellagio’s Rolex store. It was also reported that tourists heard gunfire and that there was an active shooter in the hotel, while some reported of an apparent stampede.

These claims were rubbished by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and put everyone at ease. It is yet to be seen if the burglary was at the store or in the casino.

The Bellagio is a resort, casino and luxury hotel in the Paradise of Las Vegas in Nevada. Owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, the Bellagio is famous for its exquisite grandeur. The place in December 2010 faced a similar scare when an armed man stole casino chips worth $1.5 million from the table.

The police, however, said that this was no attack and said that everything is under control at the luxury hotel.
