In Uttar Pradesh’s Agra region, a 30 year old woman was allegedly beaten and stripped by a group of men.
The accused, along with 11 other men, barged into the house of the woman and stripped her. They further beat her and sexually assaulted her. Before leaving her house, the accused threatened the victim of killing her family if she files a complaint with the police against the accused.
According to sources, the incident came to light after the victim, despite threats of the accused, filed a first information report (FIR) with the Tajganj Police Station.
According to the FIR, the woman faced such brutality, after she had objected to eve-teasing by two men last week. To take revenge, the two accused, along with others entered her house with sticks and stripped her while assaulting her family members also.
Station House Officer (SHO) Raj Kumar said, “The accused men are absconding. Efforts are being made to arrest them.”
Furthermore, a case under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered.
