Where is the Love?

People killin’, people dyin’

Children hurt and you hear them cryin’

Can you practice what you preach?

Or would you turn the other cheek?

Popular American band ‘Black Eyed Peas’ filmed a new version of their 2003 hit ‘Where’s the love’ to raise awareness of the violence going on in the nation and the World. They also plan to raise money for 16 charities helping those affected by the recent Police shootings in Dallas and Orlando. Sales from the new version of the track will go to the ‘i.am.angel foundation,’ a non-profit founded by will.i.am, with the goal of “transforming lives through education, inspiration and opportunity.”

The video features dozens of celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Kendall Jenner, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Usher, DJ Khaled, A$AP Rocky and Jaden Smith. It also includes figures like Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown and religious people such as a rabbi and a priestlove locket

The updated version of this song tries to bring to light to issues in today’s world, such as police brutality and terror attacks, and was released on August 31st. The first version of “Where Is the Love?” was released following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.
