
Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved key proposals made by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) on April 10. These decisions are set to boost the state’s industrial development and job creation. The SIPB has already cleared proposals worth ₹4.62 lakh crore, aimed at generating over 4.23 lakh jobs.
Among the significant approvals is land allotment for major companies, including 21.6 acres for TCS to establish a ₹1,370 crore IT campus in IT Hill No. 3, expected to employ 12,000 people. The Cabinet also greenlit projects like Maha Maya Industries’ steel plant expansion in Vizianagaram, a data center in Visakhapatnam, and metal manufacturing at Sri City, Tirupati.
The Cabinet passed a draft ordinance for sub-categorisation of 59 Scheduled Castes into three groups for equitable reservation: Group-I (1%), Group-II (6.5%), and Group-III (7.5%) across all 26 districts.
The Cabinet cleared the issuance of ₹9,000 crore bonds and approved converting AP Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) into a public limited company. Other key approvals include:
- Land allotment for ESIC Hospital in Guntur and Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Eluru
- Assembly and High Court building constructions
- Industrial park land for APIIC in Nellore
- Remaining Polavaram works to Navayuga Engineering
- Appointment of a videographer in the Deputy CM’s office
These measures aim to strengthen infrastructure, industry, and inclusive growth across the state.
