Amaravathi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced a comprehensive plan to eradicate poverty among the tribal communities. Speaking at a large gathering on World Adivasi Day, he emphasized the urgent need to transform the lives of tribals, lamenting that while the world discusses Artificial Intelligence (AI), many Adivasis still face extreme poverty.
To address this, the Chief Minister revealed plans to establish study circles in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Tirupati exclusively for Adivasis. He also announced the upcoming launch of “Chaitanyam 2.0,” a program aimed at the overall progress of tribal communities, which includes providing road connectivity to 2,191 tribal villages and safe drinking water to every tribal household at a cost of Rs 2,373 crore.
Naidu also pledged to recover public funds looted by the previous government and redirect them towards the welfare of the poor. He highlighted efforts to promote organic products and Araku coffee, and announced the completion of Paderu Medical College with Rs 500 crore and the establishment of a museum at Lambasingi for freedom fighters.
Free coaching will be provided for Adivasi candidates applying for the 16,347 vacancies recently announced by the District Selection Committee (DSC).
