Guntur: Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, affirmed the Andhra Pradesh Government’s commitment to implementing the “Super Six” guarantees, including the Talliki Vandanam program. Speaking at the 78th Independence Day celebration after hoisting the national flag at the Police Parade Grounds, Lokesh assured that no welfare scheme would be discontinued under unnecessary guidelines.
Lokesh highlighted several upcoming infrastructure projects, including the completion of the underground drainage system in Guntur and the launch of pending railway projects. He also announced plans to establish a jewelry park and a weavers’ cluster in Mangalagiri.
Reflecting on Guntur’s rich history of producing notable figures, Lokesh praised the people’s enthusiasm for the celebrations under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He assured the farming community of continued support, noting that crops across 92,000 hectares in the district have been recorded through the e-crop app.
Lokesh also revealed that the state aims to provide 29 lakh working days this year under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme and announced that the District Vision Action Plan will be unveiled on October 2.
He emphasized the government’s efforts to make Andhra Pradesh drug-free, expressing gratitude to district officials for their cooperation.
