Tadepalli: Former MLA Malladi Vishnu has held the TDP-led coalition government responsible for the demolition of structures at Kasinayana Jyothi Kshetram, a sacred site revered by devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Speaking at the YSRCP central office, he condemned the forest department’s large-scale demolition, questioning how such an act could occur under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who claims to protect Sanatana Dharma.

Vishnu pointed out that the demolition included community kitchens, resting places for devotees, a cowshed, and service centers, all essential for pilgrims. He criticized Pawan Kalyan’s silence for over ten days and dismissed Minister Nara Lokesh’s apology in the Assembly as a political stunt, questioning why Pawan himself did not take responsibility.

He further revealed that former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had sought Union government intervention in 2023 to exclude 13 hectares of temple land from the reserve forest category, yet Pawan Kalyan failed to take similar steps. Citing past incidents, Vishnu accused the TDP of historical neglect toward Hindu temples, urging the public to hold the ruling alliance accountable.
